Regular Season Round 19: JX Sunflowers - Mitsubishi K. 82-58

An interesting game for JX Sunflowers (18-0) which hosted in Kashiwa 4th placed Mitsubishi K. (12-6). Leader JX Sunflowers had an easy win 82-58. The game without a history. JX Sunflowers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Mitsubishi K.'s 24. JX Sunflowers brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a great evening for international point guard Asami Yoshida (165-87) who led her team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists and 6 steals. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) helped adding 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. At the losing side guard Yasuko Hashimoto (163-82) responded with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and international forward Chika Sakuragi (179-91) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the eighteenth consecutive win for JX Sunflowers. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-0 record. Mitsubishi K. lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
