Very predictable result in Saporro where second ranked Aishin Sea Horses (13-3) smashed bottom-ranked Hokkaido L. (1-15) 83-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aishin Sea Horses. Hokkaido L. was better in second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Jamaican center Kevin Young (206-84, college: Missouri) who added 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. Aishin Sea Horses' coach Kimikazu Suzuki allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Joevan Catron (198-88, college: Oregon) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) scored 14 points. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-3 record behind leader Toyota Alvark. Hokkaido L. lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face Hitachi Sunrockers (#4) in Osaka in the next round. Hokkaido L. will play on the road against Panasonic Trians (#3) in Osaka.
