Regular Season Round 14: Akita NH - Chiba Jets 88-73

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Chiba Jets (4-7) were defeated on the road by third ranked Akita Happinets (9-2) 88-73 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 15 points. Akita Happinets dominated on the defensive end, holding Chiba Jets to just 7 points in third quarter. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St., agency: Top Notch Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward T.J. Cummings (205-81, college: UCLA, agency: Top Notch Sports) chipped in 28 points and 5 rebounds. Four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. Center Joe Werner (201-84, college: Wisc.-La Cros.) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and swingman D'Andre Bell (198-87, college: Georgia Tech) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Akita Happinets moved-up to second place. Loser Chiba Jets keep the eighth position with seven games lost. Akita Happinets will face again Chiba Jets (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
