The game in Kronos was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Aris (5-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Kronos AD (3-5). Aris managed to secure a 7-point victory 60-53 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-14. But Kronos AD won second period 12-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was guard Roula Mouli (177-85) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Bosnian center Aleksandra Begenisic (193-89) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. The former international power forward Nena Nikolaidou (190-79) produced 8 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and forward Maria Xanthou (185-82) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Aris maintains fifth position with 5-3 record. Loser Kronos AD dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. Aris will face league's second-placed Athinaikos in Athens in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kronos AD will play on the road against Asteras (#8) in Athens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
