Regular Season Round 8: Cholet - Boulazac 68-67

A very interesting game took place in Cholet. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Boulazac Basket (3-5) to sixth ranked Cholet (5-3) 68-67 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as Boulazac Basket took an 15-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Cholet took control getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and eventually winning the game that evening by 1 point. American forward Marcus Goree (201-77, college: W.Virginia) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. American-Nigerian forward Derrick Obasohan (198-81, college: Texas Arlington) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Naturalized Swiss power forward David Ramseier (203-87) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Darnell Harris (181-86, college: La Salle) added 18 points in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Cholet moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Boulazac Basket keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Cholet's next round opponent will be Gravelines-Dunkerque (#4) on the road. Boulazac Basket will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#16).
