Third ranked Oulun NMKY (5-4) saved a 3-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers BC Nokia (4-4) 81-78 in the fight for the fourth place. American point guard Russell Frederick (185-88, college: Philadelphia) scored 30 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Dwight Coleman (203-84, college: Dallas Baptist) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Oulun NMKY players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Brian Moultrie (198-87, college: Armstr.Atlantic) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds and Kittitian power forward Kraidon Woods (205-88, college: Drake) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Despite that victory Oulun NMKY went down to fourth position (Division) due to points difference. BC Nokia at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Oulun NMKY will again play against BC Nokia (#5) on the road in the next round. BC Nokia will play against Saynatsalon Riento in Jyvaskyla and hopes to get back on the winning track.
