Regular Season Round 10: Quimper - St Chamond 86-77

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Quimper UJAP (6-3) won against at home 12th ranked Saint Chamond (3-6) 86-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-77. Quimper UJAP made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Quimper UJAP outrebounded Saint Chamond 34-18 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saint Chamond was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Spanish point guard Carlos Cherry (184-79, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. Nigerian forward Corey Raji (198-88, college: Boston Coll., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Latvian swingman Ingus Bankevics (195-85, agency: Players Group) replied with 17 points and naturalized DR Congolese guard Jean-Paul Landu-Bongo (187-85) added 16 points in the effort for Saint Chamond.
