Regular Season Round 26: Halc.Rojos - Toros 82-69

The most important game in the last round took place in Veracruz between third ranked Toros (19-7) and fourth ranked Halcones Rojos (20-6) on Saturday night. Toros were defeated by Halcones Rojos on the road 82-69. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-69. The best player for the winners was American-Panamanian guard Danilo Pinnock (196-83, college: G.Washington) who scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American point guard Mike Mitchell (181-83, college: N.Mexico St., agency: Two Points) chipped in 15 points. Four Halcones Rojos players scored in double figures. Halcones Rojos' coach Eddie Casiano used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV, agency: ProSportsCareers) produced 7 points and 10 rebounds and American-Nigerian forward Ike Ofoegbu (205-85, college: SMU) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Halcones Rojos moved-up to third place. Toros at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Halcones Rojos are looking forward to face league's second-placed Soles in Mexicali in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toros will play at home against Barreteros in Zacatecas and are hoping to win this game.
