Regular Season Round 10: Slask Wroclaw - UMKS Kielce 78-62

Leader Slask Wroclaw delivered the ninth victory. This time they beat 15th ranked UMKS Kielce (3-7) 78-62. The game was mostly controlled by Slask Wroclaw. UMKS Kielce was better in third quarter 14-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Slask Wroclaw dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to UMKS Kielce's 32. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Radoslaw Hyzy (203-77) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds. Center Krzysztof Sulima (202-90) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Slask Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Forward Wojciech Miernik (194-88) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and forward Rafal Krol (198-87) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for UMKS Kielce. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slask Wroclaw (9-1) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Newly promoted UMKS Kielce dropped to the thirteenth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Astoria Bydg. and SKK Siedlce. Slask Wroclaw will play against league's second-placed AZS Kutno on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UMKS Kielce will play against Stal Ostrow (#3) in Ostrow Wlkp. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
