Regular Season Round 7: Rivas Ecopolis - Conquero 83-62

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Conquero (1-5) was rolled over on the road by leader Rivas Ecopolis (7-0) 83-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rivas Ecopolis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for American center Aneika Henry (193-86, college: Florida) who led her team to a victory scoring 14 points and 7 rebounds. Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (193-89, agency: Regeneracom Sports) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five Rivas Ecopolis players scored in double figures. Rivas Ecopolis' coach Miguel Mendez felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Lidia Mirchandani (172-76) scored 12 points. Rivas Ecopolis have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Conquero lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Rivas Ecopolis will face Gran Canaria (#7) in Las Palmas in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Conquero will play at home against Caja Rural in Zamora.
