Regular Season Round 20: Ebara Vickies - Toyota B SR 64-81

Everything could happen in Tokyo at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Toyota B SR and 9th ranked Ebara Vickies had identical 5-12 record. But Ebara Vickies were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Aichi 81-64 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota B SR. Ebara Vickies managed to win third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Yoshie Watanabe (162-86) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Toyota B SR players scored in double figures. Swingman Misako Rikuden (172-86) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Mitsuboshi Hayano (175-86) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Toyota B SR (6-12) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Aishin AW. Ebara Vickies at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Toyota B SR will meet at home league's leader JX Sunflowers in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Ebara Vickies will play against Chanson V-M (#3) in Shizuoka and hope to secure a win.
