Very expected game when 13th ranked Melilla Baloncesto (1-7) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Meridiano Alicante (6-2) 77-64. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The former international center Jesus Fernandez (204-75) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Albert Sabat (187-85) contributed with 12 points and 9 assists for the winners. Four Meridiano Alicante players scored in double figures. The former international forward Francisco Sanchez (201-79) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and German power forward Kiril Wachsmann (203-83, college: Iona, agency: Edge Sports) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Melilla Baloncesto. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Meridiano Alicante have an impressive five-game winning streak.
