There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Perugia (4-7) won against at home 12th ranked Recanati (4-7) 64-57 on Sunday. Recanati trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 20-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 57-64 at the end of the game. It was a good game for Davide Poltroneri (195-85) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Costantino Cutolo (198-89, agency: Players Group) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Forward Attilio Pierini (201-81) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Marco Tagliabue (206-86) added 7 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Recanati.
