Very important is a home loss of third ranked Umea (6-2) against ninth ranked Orongo Dragons (4-5) on Sunday night. Host Umea was edged by Orongo Dragons in a tough game at home 52-54. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Umea. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Orongo Dragons dominated on the defensive end, holding Umea to just 0 points in fourth quarter and to 13 points in second half. Forward Markus Williams (198-93) nailed 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and guard Daniel Eliasson (190-92) accounted for 21 points. Forward Egal Saleman (199-88) came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds and forward Albin Frank (184-90) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for Umea in the defeat. Orongo Dragons moved-up to eighth place in North. Newly promoted Umea keeps the third position with two games lost. Orongo Dragons will play against higher ranked KFUM Blackebergs (#5) in Vallingby in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Umea will play on the road against Akropol in Spanga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
