Regular Season Round 9: Siarka Jezioro - Asseco Prok. 79-81

A very interesting game took place in Tarnobrzeg. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 10th ranked Siarka Jezioro (2-7) to sixth ranked Asseco Prok. (5-3) 81-79 on Sunday evening. It looked good early as Siarka Jezioro took an 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Asseco Prok. took control getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. It was a good game for international center Adam Hrycaniuk (206-84, college: Cincinnati, agency: Alti Sport) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). American guard Alex Acker (196-83, college: Pepperdine) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Asseco Prok.'s coach Kestutis Kemzura allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Jakub Dloniak (192-83, agency: Promotex) answered with 21 points and 4 assists and American guard J.T. Tiller (191-88, college: Missouri, agency: Limelight Hoops) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Siarka Jezioro. Five Siarka Jezioro players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 5-3 record. Siarka Jezioro lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Asseco Prok.'s next round opponent will be Polpharma (#9) in Starogard. Siarka Jezioro will play on the road against Trefl Sopot.
