Regular Season Round 10: Nantes - Toulouse 62-67

The most shocking disappointment of round 10 in the LFB was a home defeat of 4th ranked Nantes Reze (6-4) to fifth ranked Toulouse (7-3) 67-62. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 31-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Nantes Reze helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Carrem Gay (188-87, college: Duke) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian forward Adrijana Knezevic (185-87) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Four Toulouse players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Marielle Amant (190-89) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Caroline Aubert (168-80, college: Colorado) scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Toulouse have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Perpignan and Bourges. Nantes Reze at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Toulouse is looking forward to face Villeneuve D'Ascq (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Nantes Reze will play against the league's second-placed Bourges (#2) and is hoping to win this game.
