The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Elitzur Netanya (1-1) on the court of seventh ranked Hap.Petah Tikva on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by Hap.Petah Tikva 83-75. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The hosts trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 50-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Hap.Petah Tikva looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. At the losing side American forward Chastity Reed (185-89, college: UALR) responded with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and her fellow American import forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hap.Petah Tikva (2-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Elitzur Netanya at the other side dropped to the sixth position with one game lost. Hap.Petah Tikva is looking forward to face Galil Elion (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Elitzur Netanya will play against the league's leader Maccabi Ashdod and is hoping to win this game.
