The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Al Rayyan (6-1) in Doha on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Al Arabi (6-2) 84-82. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Al Rayyan. Al Arabi forced 19 Al Rayyan turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Al Arabi made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Sierra Leonean guard Abdulai Jalloh (188-86, college: JMU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman William Byrd (201-85, college: Ark.-Pine Bluff) who added 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 blocks during the contest.
