The game in Kazrin supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (5-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Hapoel Kazrin (3-4). Ironi Nes-Ziona smashed Hapoel Kazrin 94-58 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Ironi Nes-Ziona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Kazrin's 30. Ironi Nes-Ziona forced 22 Hapoel Kazrin turnovers and outrebounded them 39-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Gabe Blair (203-87, college: Wichita St.) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Naturalized Welsh forward Tal Michael Dunne (197-87) accounted for 22 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Ironi Nes-Ziona players scored in double figures. American guard Lawrence Westbrook (183-88, college: Minnesota) came up with 25 points and naturalized Russian power forward Anton Kazarnovski (205-85) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Hapoel Kazrin in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ironi Nes-Ziona have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Elitzur Yavne. Newly promoted Hapoel Kazrin keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Hapoel K/S. Ironi Nes-Ziona will meet at home league's second-placed Elitzur Yavne in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hapoel Kazrin will play against Hod Hasharon (#4) and hope to secure a win.
