Regular Season Round 10: Leiden - Den Helder K. 70-64

Eredivisie top team - Leiden (10-2) added another victory to their record on Wednesday. This time they beat seventh ranked Den Helder K. (5-7) 70-64. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-8. But Den Helder K. won third quarter 26-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Leiden won last quarter 18-13. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tony Gallo (180-89, college: Coppin St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. International Worthy de Jong (194-88, agency: R.H.Consultancy) contributed with 8 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International center Jeroen van der List (213-89, college: Indian Hills CC, agency: Court Side) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Storm Warren (200-88, college: LSU) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Den Helder K.Leiden have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-2 record. Den Helder K. at the other side keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Leiden are looking forward to face Groningen (#3) in Groningen in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Den Helder K. will play at home against Zwolle (#4) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
