No shocking result in a game in Lappeenranta where sixth ranked LrNMKY (8-5) defeated 10th ranked Forssan Koripojat (3-10) 93-87 on Wednesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 29-22 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Jason Conley (196-81, college: Missouri, agency: Warren Sports International) had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Matthew Gibson (196-84) chipped in 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Conley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-Belizean point guard Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) responded with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Andrais Thornton (203-85, college: NW Missouri St.) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Five Forssan Koripojat players scored in double figures. LrNMKY moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kauhajoki. Forssan Koripojat lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted Forssan Koripojat keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Lapua. LrNMKY will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Forssan Koripojat will play against Lapuan Korikobrat (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
