Bottom-ranked Al Wakrah (0-7) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to sixth ranked Qatar Sports Club (3-4) 98-78. Qatar Sports Club players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Senegalese Oumar Seck orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman Chauncey Leslie (183-81, college: Iowa) contributed with 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Qatar Sports Club players scored in double figures. American-Nigerian forward Kayode Ayeni (196-87, college: St.Francis, NY) replied with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and international center Mame Souleye (206-87) added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Al Wakrah. Qatar Sports Club moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al Gharafa. Al Wakrah at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Qatar Sports Club's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Jaysh.
