There was no surprise when 9th ranked Svit (2-10) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Inter Bratislava (6-5) 80-70 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Inter Bratislava. Svit managed to win second period 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Martin Rancik (204-78, college: Iowa St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83) who added 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard John Boyer (185-88, college: Buffalo) with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import forward Kenneth Henderson (201-82, college: Texas Arlington) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Inter Bratislava maintains fifth position with 6-5 record. Loser Svit stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Inter Bratislava will meet Prievidza (#6) on the road in the next round. Svit will play against Handlova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
