An interesting game for Vikies (6-3) which hosted in Victoria, BC 3rd placed Pronghorn (5-4). Second ranked Vikies had an easy win 77-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pronghorn. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. Vikies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Vikies outrebounded Pronghorn 44-23 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Terrell Evans who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 4 assists. Ryan Erikson contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Derek Waldner (201) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Morgan Duce (180) added 13 points in the effort for Pronghorn. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pronghorn's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Vikies maintains second place with 6-3 record having just -8 point less than leader Ryerson, which they share with Saskatchewan and UFV. Loser Pronghorn dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Vikies will face Dinos (#6) in Calgary, AB in the next round. Pronghorn will play on the road against the league's leader Thunderbirds in Vancouver, BC.
