No shocking result in a game when first ranked Porvoon Tarmo (9-1) crushed at home bottom-ranked Ura Basket (0-10) 114-60 on Friday. The game without a history. Porvoon Tarmo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Porvoon Tarmo dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Ura Basket's 32. Porvoon Tarmo forced 19 Ura Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 48-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. American players dominated also this game. Quite impressive performance for forward Jerrah Young (201-85, college: Toledo) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Vernon Taylor (190-87, college: Troy) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Young is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Porvoon Tarmo players scored in double figures. Guard Nolan Richardson (188-84, college: Midwestern St.) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Bobby Nash (198-84) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ura Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Porvoon Tarmo maintains first position in Division with 9-1 record. Loser Ura Basket still closes the standings with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
