Very important is a road loss of second ranked Stingers (3-2) against fourth ranked Rouge et Or (2-3) on Friday night. Visiting Stingers were defeated by Rouge et Or in a tough game in Quebec City, QC 68-72. Rouge et Or made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Stingers turnovers. Thibaud Dezutter stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Karl Demers-Belanger chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side forward Evens Laroche (193) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Ivorian forward Kafil Eyitayo (201) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rouge et Or maintains fourth place with 2-3 record. Stingers at the other side keep the second position with two games lost. They share it with UPEI. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
