The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Marauders' (2-4) road victory over 7th ranked Blues (2-5) in Toronto, ON 87-82 on Friday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 44-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Marauders outrebounded Blues 42-26 including a 16-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Blues were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for center Taylor Black (201) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Aaron Redpath (193) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Naturalized Greek guard Alex Hill (196-90, college: Cornell) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and guard Arun Kumar (183) added 27 points in the effort for Blues. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Marauders moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Blues lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. Marauders will face league's leader Rams in Toronto, ON in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Blues will play at home against Badgers (#5) in St.Catharines, ON and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
