The biggest surprise of round 7 in Superleague was guest Energy Invest's (6-1) road victory over their biggest opponent Kutaisi (5-2) 67-60 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kutaisi. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 23-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Energy Invest outrebounded Kutaisi 43-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. American guard Nate Bowie (183-86, college: Cent.Arkansas) fired 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import forward Kyle Nelson (203-89, college: Augustana, IL, agency: N.E.T.) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Azerbaijani guard Zaur Pashayev (188-83) produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and international center Richard Matiashvili (207-89) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Energy Invest have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Kutaisi at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Energy Invest are looking forward to face Armia (#3) in Tbilisi in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kutaisi will have a break next round.
