Regular Season Round 7: Batumi - Samedicino 82-73

Bottom-ranked Samedicino-Academia (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 82-73 loss to eighth ranked Batumi (2-5) in Batumi on Friday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Samedicino-Academia won fourth quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Samedicino-Academia 49-37 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Samedicino-Academia was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international forward Lasha Keshelava (200-81) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Center Giorgi Revazashvili (208-91) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and forward Levan Eliadze (197-92) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Samedicino-Academia's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Batumi moved-up to seventh place, which they share with TSU Tbilisi. Loser Samedicino-Academia still closes the standings with six games lost. Batumi will face bottom-ranked STU (#11) in Tbilisi in the next round.
