The game in Kouvola supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Loimaan Korikonkarit (11-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Kouvot (6-8). Loimaan Korikonkarit did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 92-72 on Saturday. The game without a history. Loimaan Korikonkarit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 60.9 percent from the field. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Martin Zeno (196-85, college: Texas Tech) who led the winners and scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) accounted for 15 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Loimaan Korikonkarit players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican forward Gilberto Clavell (201-89, college: Sam Houston St., agency: KMG Sports Management) came up with 24 points and American swingman Chris Hester (192-79, college: E.Washington) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Kouvot in the defeat. Defending champion maintains second place with 11-3 record having just -1 point less than leader Pyrinto. Kouvot lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Loimaan Korikonkarit will meet at home league's leader Tampereen Pyrinto in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kouvot will play against Joensuun Kataja (#3) and hope to secure a win.
