Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (2-13) were rolled over on the road by seventh ranked Kyoto Hannar. (7-8) 93-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kyoto Hannar.. Miyazaki Shining Suns was better in fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kyoto Hannar. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Miyazaki Shining Suns' 36. They outrebounded Miyazaki Shining Suns 44-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. At the losing side American forward Dominique Keller (203-88, college: Illinois) responded with 28 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Kyohei Ito (175-88) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kyoto Hannar. have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 7-8 record. Loser Miyazaki Shining Suns keep the ninth place with 13 games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will face again Miyazaki Shining Suns (#9) at home in the next round.
