The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Correcaminos' (11-17) road victory over 12th ranked Guerreros (8-20) 110-97 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back winning next two quarters and won the game by 13 points. Correcaminos shot 63.2 percent from the field. Correcaminos outrebounded Guerreros 34-22 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Myron Allen (182-79, college: Lee JC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Brandon Robinson (202-81, college: Auburn, agency: Paris Global Sports) who added 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Keith Gayden (202-83, college: Duquesne) responded with 24 points and 9 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican power forward Angel Alamo (206-85) scored 27 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Correcaminos moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Barreteros. Newly promoted Guerreros dropped to the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Correcaminos will face league's second-placed Soles in Mexicali in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Guerreros will play on the road against Barreteros (#10) in Zacatecas.
