Very predictable result when fifth ranked S. La Spezia (7-2) defeated on the road 10th ranked Salerno (3-7) 58-47 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by S. La Spezia. Salerno was better in second period 11-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. S. La Spezia had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. International forward Silvia Favento (185-85) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Antonella Contestabile (187-87, agency: Players Group) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. S. La Spezia's coach Dragomir Bukvic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side power forward Serena Bona (181-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and international point guard Raelin D'Alie (168-87, college: Wisconsin) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds.
