Bottom-ranked Entente Orleans 45 managed to get a third victory. This time they won against fourteenth-ranked Boulazac Basket 85-67. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 18-point difference suggests that Entente Orleans 45 is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. Boulazac Basket was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Entente Orleans 45 made 29-of-36 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game, while Boulazac Basket only scored six points from the stripe. Strangely Boulazac Basket outrebounded Entente Orleans 45 31-15 including 20 on the defensive glass. Boulazac Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international point guard Marc-Antoine Pellin (169-87) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. American forward Brian Greene (204-81, college: Colorado St.) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Entente Orleans 45 players scored in double figures. American Justin Hawkins (201-85, college: N.Mexico St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: George Mason, agency: SportsTalent) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Entente Orleans 45 (3-6) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Boulazac Basket. Boulazac Basket lost third consecutive game. Entente Orleans 45 will play against higher ranked JSF Nanterre (#11) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boulazac Basket will play against the league's second-placed Le Mans where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
