Regular Season Round 10: Nice - LTB 29 77-47

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Nice as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Nice smashed 3rd ranked LTB 29 at home 77-47. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of LTB 29. The game without a history. Nice led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding LTB 29 to just 5 points in third quarter. Nice dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to LTB 29's 30. Nice forced 20 LTB 29 turnovers and outrebounded them 38-18 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by LTB 29's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Jeanne Senghor (191-82) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Alexandra Tchangoue (180-85, college: Wake Forest) contributed with 12 points, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Five Nice players scored in double figures. Nice's coach Rachid Meziane felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senegalese forward Oumou Toure (190-88) replied with 9 points and 8 rebounds and guard Marie Butard (174-86) added 6 points in the effort for LTB 29. As mentioned above they took over a top position. LTB 29 at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with COB Calais. LTB 29 will play next round against Reims trying to get back on the winning streak. Nice will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Laveyron on the road.
