Regular Season Round 21: Chanson V-M - Ebara Vickies 81-52

There was no surprise in Shizuoka where 10th ranked Ebara Vickies (5-14) were crushed by third ranked Chanson V-M (15-4) 81-52 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Chanson V-M. Ebara Vickies was better in second period 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ebara Vickies to just 6 points in first quarter. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Yuka Watanabe (181-81) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Key Miho (176-85) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. Four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. Chanson V-M's coach Isao Kimura felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Kazumi Ogawa (178-86) who recorded 12 points and 8 rebounds and Arisa Takagi (168-89) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Chanson V-M. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Fujitsu RW. Newly promoted Ebara Vickies keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Chanson V-M will face again Ebara Vickies (#10) in Tokyo in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
