Regular Season Round 7: Dinamo Tbilisi - Olimpi 79-84

Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Tbilisi: Olimpi (#5) and Dinamo Tbilisi (#6). Dinamo Tbilisi was defeated at home 79-84 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Olimpi looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-85, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Mikheil Berishvili (205-87) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. Olimpi's coach George Kazanjian used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side point guard Ioseb Lezhava (185-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and American forward Flynn Clayman (206-88, college: Cumberlands) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olimpi (5-1) moved-up to third place, which they share with Armia. Loser Dinamo Tbilisi keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Olimpi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena MIA.
