The game in Thessaloniki supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Athinaikos (8-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Aris (5-4). Athinaikos did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 71-51. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aris. They outrebounded Aris 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Serbian power forward Milena Vukicevic (188-80) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Zoi Kechagia (170-79) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Athinaikos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Roula Mouli (177-85) who recorded 12 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Evangelia Kotopodi (188-87) added 11 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Panathinaikos. Aris at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Athinaikos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Asteras.
