An interesting game for Castelletto (9-3) which hosted in Castelletto 4th placed Lucca (7-4). Third ranked Castelletto managed to get a 6-point victory 71-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lucca. The hosts trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Castelletto forced 24 Lucca turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Federico Bolzonella (184-84) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Alex Ranuzzi (195-86, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Diego Banti (204-83, agency: Interperformances) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Walter Santarossa (200-78) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Lucca. Four Lucca players scored in double figures. Castelletto have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain third place with 9-3 record behind leader Matera. Newly promoted Lucca dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Castelletto are looking forward to face Agrigento (#5) on the road in the next round. Lucca will play against Omegna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
