Regular Season Round 9: Ksiezak Lowicz - GTK Gdynia 104-90

Very predictable result when third ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (5-2) defeated at home 8th ranked GTK Gdynia (2-5) 104-90 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Ksiezak Lowicz. GTK Gdynia was better in fourth quarter 33-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ksiezak Lowicz dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to GTK Gdynia's 44 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Ksiezak Lowicz especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Bartosz Wluczynski (176-88) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 assists for the winners and forward Kacper Kromer (204-87) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Bartosz Wrobel (186-95) with 24 points and point guard Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz (170-95) scored 19 points. Five Ksiezak Lowicz and four GTK Gdynia players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ksiezak Lowicz moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with Korsarz Gdansk and SMS PZKosz. Newly promoted GTK Gdynia keeps the eighth position with five games lost. Ksiezak Lowicz will face Basket Pila (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. GTK Gdynia will play against Suchy Las and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
