Important game to mention about took place in Shiga. Fourth ranked Shimane Magic (10-6) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars (8-8) 73-70 on Sunday evening. Shiga L-Stars were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Shiga L-Stars' 28 and made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Strangely Shiga L-Stars outrebounded Shimane Magic 46-30 including a 28-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import center Jeral Davis (216-84) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and Cameroonian power forward Alfred Aboya (206-85, college: UCLA) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Shiga L-Stars. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shimane Magic moved-up to second place, which they share with Niigata Albirex and Fukuoka Rizing. Shiga L-Stars at the other side keep the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Kyoto Hannar.. Shimane Magic will play against Osaka Evessa (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shiga L-Stars will play against Kyoto Hannar. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
