Regular Season Round 12: Lider Pruszkow - Wisla Can-Pak 68-51

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Wisla Can-Pak (8-2) against fifth ranked Lider Pruszkow (6-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Wisla Can-Pak was defeated by Lider Pruszkow in Pruszkow 68-51. The game was mostly controlled by Lider Pruszkow. Wisla Can-Pak was better in third quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Wisla Can-Pak to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Briana Gilbreath (185-90, college: USC) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import point guard Sydney Colson (172-89, college: Texas A&M) who added 13 points and 6 assists during the contest. Lider Pruszkow's coach Adam Prabucki allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Hungarian center Dora Horti (193-87, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) with 8 points and 12 rebounds and Belgian swingman Anke De Mondt (175-79) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Lider Pruszkow moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Wisla Can-Pak keeps the third position with two games lost. Lider Pruszkow will play against league's leader Artego Bydg. in Bydgoszcz in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Wisla Can-Pak will have a break next round.
