No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Kyoto Hannar. (8-8) smashed at home 9th ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (2-14) 87-67 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Kyoto Hannar.. Miyazaki Shining Suns was better in fourth quarter 30-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kyoto Hannar. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Miyazaki Shining Suns' 32. Kyoto Hannar. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Panamanian forward Leonardo Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego, agency: Top Notch Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward David Palmer (201-82, college: S.Utah, agency: Top Notch Sports) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Four Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Ricky Woods (194-84, college: SE Louisiana) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Dominique Keller (203-88, college: Illinois) added 16 points respectively for the guests. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Kyoto Hannar.. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars.
