Regular Season Round 9: 36ers - Kings 85-88

A very close game took place in Findon between Kings and Adelaide 36ers. Fourth ranked Kings (7-5) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Adelaide 36ers (5-5). Kings managed to escape with a 3-point win 88-85 on Sunday evening. Adelaide 36ers cut a 14-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Aaron Bruce (190-84) who scored 22 points and 5 assists. Forward Graeme Dann (202-83) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was international point guard Adam Gibson (188-86) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 assists and center Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) added 24 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Adelaide 36ers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kings moved-up to third place. Loser Adelaide 36ers keep the fifth position with five games lost. Kings will meet at home league's leader New Zealand Breakers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Adelaide 36ers will play against Perth Wildcats (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
