Rather predictable result in Badalona where twelfth ranked FIATC Joventut (5-5) defeated 14th ranked CB Canarias (2-8) 92-81 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by FIATC Joventut. CB Canarias was better in third quarter 25-6. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. FIATC Joventut made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. American-Georgian point guard Corey Fisher (186-88, college: Villanova) scored 29 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian center Ognjen Kuzmic (215-90) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. CB Canarias will play against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#15) in Madrid and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
