No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Firenze (8-4) beat at home 13th ranked Perugia (4-8) 84-71 on Monday. Perugia was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 27-12 charge of Firenze, which allowed them to win the game. They made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Firenze especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Perugia was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Stefano Rabaglietti (190-83, agency: Two Points) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Davide Poltroneri (195-85) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Giacomo Chiatti (183-86) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Perugia. Perugia's coach Andrea Fabrizi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Firenze moved-up to fourth place. Loser Perugia keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Firenze will face league's second-placed Torino on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
