Second ranked Zhejiang Far East (8-4) crushed at home 5th ranked Shanghai Octopus (6-6) by 20 points 93-73, which is the biggest margin this round. The game without a history. Zhejiang Far East led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They were well out of reach of Shanghai Octopus shooting 70.2 percent from the field. Zhejiang Far East had a 24-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (203-91) who led her team to a victory with 29 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all fourteen shots !!!). The former international swingman Lan Bian (185-86) contributed with 13 points, 7 assists and 7 steals for the winners. American swingman Camille Little (188-85, college: N.Carolina) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and center Xing Wen (191-90) added 13 points in the effort for Shanghai Octopus. Five Zhejiang Far East and four Shanghai Octopus players scored in double figures. Shanghai Octopus' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Zhejiang Far East maintains second position with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader Shanxi. Shanghai Octopus at the other side keep the fifth place with six games lost. Zhejiang Far East's next round opponent will be league's leader Shanxi in Taiyuan and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shanghai Octopus will play at home against Bayi Kylin (#9) in Yinzhou.
