Very expected game when 15th ranked Saint Chamond (3-8) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Monaco (4-5) 88-74 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-74. Monaco forced 20 Saint Chamond turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian-Bosnian center Nemanja Calasan (205-85, college: Purdue) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 rebounds and guard Anthony Christophe (190-83) who added 13 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Marqus Ledoux (203-80, college: Tulsa) with 24 points and 4 assists and swingman Nicolas Wachowiak (198-91) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Monaco moved-up to tenth place. Saint Chamond lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Challans. Monaco will meet league's second-placed Souffelweyersheim in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Saint Chamond will play against Blois (#5) and hope to secure a win.
