Regular Season Round 12: Blois - Cognac 96-80

The most important game in the last round took place in Blois between third ranked Cognac (8-3) and sixth ranked Blois (7-3) on Tuesday night. Cognac was defeated by Blois on the road 96-80. The game was mostly controlled by Blois. Cognac managed to win second period 28-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Cognac 38-22 including a 23-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Blois looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Cognac's players. 28 personal fouls committed by Cognac helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Blois moved-up to fifth place. Cognac at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They share it with Quimper and Souffel. Blois are looking forward to face Saint Chamond (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cognac will play against Angers BC 49 (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
