Regular Season Round 12: Widzew - CCC Polkowice 55-73

No shocking result in a game when second ranked CCC Polkowice (10-1) beat 10th ranked Widzew (1-11) in Lodz 73-55. The game was mostly controlled by CCC Polkowice. Widzew was better in fourth quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Widzew to just 5 points in third quarter. CCC Polkowice forced 24 Widzew turnovers and outrebounded them 31-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Australian Belinda Snell (181-81) who led her team to a victory scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CCC Polkowice keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Artego Bydg. Widzew lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 11 games lost. CCC Polkowice will play against bottom-ranked PTK Pabianice (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Widzew will play against Lider Pruszkow to get more than just one victory in their record.
